Justice or revenge?

The jury in OJ Simpson’s latest case has found him guilty on all 12 counts he faced. He now seems likely to be spending a significant amount of time, if not the rest of his life, in prison. And while I am definitely not a fan of OJ, I do wonder if he got a fair trial.

Honestly, when it was first announced that this case was going to trial, I knew he was going to get convicted. Not because of the evidence. But, because there are so many people who felt that OJ escaped justice after his first trial.

We are all human and I’m sure that was weighing heavily on the minds of the jurors. Not to mention the fact that they probably didn’t want to be scrutinized like the jurors who found him not guilty in his murder trial.

Still, that is not how the judicial system is supposed to work.

It’ll be interesting to see if he is granted an appeal. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was. Apparently, some legal experts feel he has grounds.

Yet, he will always face the same dilemma.

And, there are laws against double jeopardy.

The Wizard has spoken.
